About Miss Maggie George
Hello Parents and Students,
Welcome to my website!
This is my fifth year at St. Catherine Laboure as the Junior High Science Teacher and the Sixth Grade Homeroom Teacher. I also coach the SCL Varsity Volleyball team and I have coached the 6th and 7th Grade Girls Basketball team.
Over the summer I completed my Master's program at National-Louis University. I have learned a great deal form this program and look forward to implementing many parts into my teaching. Also, I work part-time at Lifetime Fitness in the Child Center.
I graduated from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin, three years ago, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. Through out my four years in college, while I was not attending classes, I was a member of many clubs and groups, the Crew (rowing) team, Kappa Beta Gamma Sorority and the Student Wisconsin Education Association (SWEA), to name a few. I also had the opportunity to study abroad in Australia for a semester and student teach in Ireland for nine weeks. These were great experiences where I learned a lot about the cultures and myself.
Before college I grew up in Wilmette, where I am living now. I enjoy playing sports; rowing, softball, and basketball are some of my favorites. I also enjoy scrap-booking, basket weaving, going to Cubs games, and being with my friends and family.
I am looking forward to this coming year. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me through this website or my email.
Sincerely,
Miss Maggie George
